Michael Arden Liner Notes

All songs written by Michael Arden Sulzbach for ardensong 2001

1 Intro This is the first bit of a song named"A Letter To Kari". Kari is my friend. It was recorded live to DAT at Advanced Audio Productions in October, 1995 by theBEANSTALKers. Engineered and mixed by Dave Pruski.

2 Blue Window Arranged, engineered and mixed by Phil (The Squid) Broikos, February 9 to 14, 1995 at Academy Hill Road. Phil did most of the work on this one. I wrote the song, played a little guitar, and sang it.

3 Love Song
Produced by Phil (The Squid), who arranged and engineered the prototype during the same session as "Blue Window" (track 2). Mary Fridmann organized things like and executive would and we recorded and mixed it July 15 to 17, 2000 at Tarbox Road with the mighty Dave Fridmann presiding.

4 Bright Side Soon
Recorded at Tarbox Road, Memorial day weekend, 2000. Mixed Labor day weekend of the same year. It's a song about the moon, I think.

5 Anywhere
From the Memorial day-Labor day Tarbox Road session. Though sometimes cynical, he seems to have a penchant for generalizing the specific.

6 Out To Galaxy
Started at Seventh End Entertainment with Tobias Steiner engineering during the summer of 1994. Finished and mixed at AAP in the summer of 2000. In space, time is meaningless . Also, I was very sleepy.

7 Burros -A Ballet
(Instrumental Intermission)

8 Feelings Worth Singing
From theBEANSTALKers second record. It was around this time that we begin to see signs of a developing sense of humor int the artist. That's plumber with a capital "P".

9 I'd Love To This is when I owned the Paul Reed Smith Sunburst (thanks to my dear friend, Tracy M.) Recorded live to DAT in 1993 by John Caruso at Audio Magic.

10 Someday Came
Another with the Paul Reed Smith from the John Caruso session. This is about the time when Aimee and Beth left.

11 For Christina
Engineered by Tobias Steiner in the attic of his Pearl Street apartment in the fall of 1998. Remixed at AAP by Dave Pruski. She forgives me.

12 Daddy Loves You The baby noises are made by Cohen Alexandra Sulzbach. I took the original 4-track recording to Dave Pruski's AAP and overdubbed four clean vocal tracks which were then mixed into the originals.
